New KMU Pharmacy Faculty building in construction

Well, I did not blog ever since the blog was created. The reason for this was another period of intensive studying before the Spring break during which I just need to write 2 little term papers and prepare for another 2 tests. But this post I would like to dedicate to our new building, today I took a few photos of it. The building is growing up really fast. The promise of moving in in 2011 sounds sweet, but I really hope that it is all done with care and quality... We enjoy our library (that is located right by the new building) and I hope the new building will live up to its promises. The new building is promising to be just for pharmacy students. Currently we study in 2-3 and sometimes 4 different locations, so the building might bring much needed appreciation of our time as students. I love the new pharmacy building!

Pharmacy students, 2 year, 9th group

And now... This is my group. Yes, it is the whole group!
Not many people are aware that there is an opportunity to study pharmacy in English language in KMU. This is I hope temporary, because capacity to teach is there, classrooms are there, but students to not know.

Well, to make it fair, I am glad to have a small group. We get all attention from the teachers, questions are welcomed, in the laboratory opportunity is given to each student do his own task and get a personal hands on experience. For me it worked out very well.

This Picture was Taken in October 2009, when we had a welcoming party for international students of KMU. It was still strange to wear a white robe... And, it's not that white any more!

My life in KMU

All though most people that study in KMU are inspired by medical doctors and dentists, I was inspired by a pharmacist, i.e. my dear husband. He always amazed me with his ability to connect his knowledge of chemistry with every day life's situations. So studying pharmacy came to me as a natural choice. But I feel that every day the feeling that I can help people with my knowledge is growing stronger.

So I created this blog. Why? I like my university and I would like to share my experiences of studying in KMU with others. There is not a lot of Information about Kaunas Medical University on the web, so maybe an unofficial honest first hand experience would be interesting to perspective and current students of KMU.
